This is part of a series of scaled back textile sketch pieces I made focusing on vintage textiles and texture.
This collage is made with vintage French and Japanese textiles and linen and a mix of machine and hand stitching. It has a little tree with trunk and branches stitched by machine and the “leaves” stitched by hand. I used many types of hand dyed cotton and wool threads in this collage.
Details:
the collage measures 4.5 inches tall x 2.75 inches wide and is framed in an arched handmade Ukrainian wood frame without glass
the outside dimensions of the frame are 6.25 inches tall x 4.25 inches wide
there’s a wire on the back to hang it on a wall or it can be displayed on a shelf
